Independence

Today, 12. June, is the Philippine Independence Day. Naturally, it’s a holiday. I expected it to be a day for me to just relax, but when I checked my e-mail around 10PM last night, I saw the request to be an author for our EL 50 class blog. It was a good thing that I checked the blog out because it turns out, that’s where our prof will announce stuff like our assignments. To my surprise (it wasn’t pleasant at all), our prof posted last 9. June about our TWO assignments due on 12. June 2013, 13.00. I panicked the first few minutes after I saw those 2 posts, then I thought of what I should do: finish both of them immediately or do them the next day. I really wanted to do nothing on Independence Day (INDEPENDENCE FROM ASSIGNMENTS FOR A DAY PLEASE!) so I started writing the “Who Am I” essay. I finished after 1hr20min, then went straight to the 2nd assignment. I read and summarized within 2hrs30min. It’s 2.30AM now and I’m just so happy that I’m done and I can finally sleep. ❀

It’s Saturday! I can’t believe the first week (well, first 2 days) of classes in the Uni is over.

It has been a great week because the enrollment did not stress me out so much. I got 12 units during the preenlistment online, so I still had to fall in line for one subject (3.0 units) for me to get the minimum number of units. Last Tuesday, I was in UP at around 6AM and I was first in line for EL 50. Hahahaha! I got the line around 8AM when they started letting students in the enlistment rooms. :> I finished everything I had to do by 9AM. Ngayon lang uli ako nakapag-enroll nang mabilis!

First day of classes was Thursday. As expected my profs didn’t come. I don’t know why my French prof didn’t come to class (maybe she was still advising some students for enrollment) but my German prof told me she had to advise MA students and had to attend a meeting after. It’s almost always like that on the first day — profs don’t really come to class. There are even some profs who don’t come to class on the first week! Haha! But I met all of my profs yesterday. I was surprised to see that my adviser for enrollment was my French prof. My German prof? I knew she was going to teach that class. I was so excited for this class because she has been my prof in my German 11 subject and I loved her. ♄ I also knew who my EL 50 prof was going to be. Pretty excited for this class too. Hihihi. 😀

I really love my schedule this sem. I have 1.5-hour breaks every after subject. If I have 2 subjects with exams on the same day, it won’t be a problem since I have time to rest my brain and review a little. Hihihi. Aaaaanyway, schönes Wochenende! ♄

We are E.L.

This is the promotional video of the Department of European Languages.

As mentioned in previous post(s), I’m currently taking up BA European Languages in the University of the Philippines, Diliman. During the freshmen/shiftees welcome assembly last year, this video was shown. I think this video shows what our department has to offer. 🙂

Iskolar ng Bayan. Iskolar para sa Bayan.

This blog post is dedicated to my sister, Anne, who just graduated today. I want her to know that I’m VERY proud of her, especially because she is a cum laude. I’m totally speechless, so forgive me if this is all I can say. You’ll be a yuppie on the 15th na! Good luck ate! You know I’ll always be here for you. I love you! ❀

Deutsch 12-13 Grades

Deutsch 12-13 Grades

Today’s the last day for profs to encode our 2nd semester grades. My classmate tweeted that our grades were out so I checked my account immediately. I already knew my German 12 grade (1.75) but I was really nervous about German 13. Why? Well, my prof in those subjects was my prof in German 10. It’s kinda hard to get 1.00 in her class because of her grading system. Imagine my surprise when I saw that my German 13 grade was 1.25! I thought I saw it wrong. I really had to stare at the screen for a few seconds to see if it was true. I am just soooooo happy. Thank you Frau! ♄

P.S. I didn’t include my other grades since this post is only about my German grades. LOL

Goodbye stressful days! Hello Frosted Desserts!

Had our German 12 finals this afternoon. I’m so happy all the stressful requirements this month are over! No more reports, no more exams. Yaaay! I can say hello to relaxing days again. Hihihi. 😀 It’s pretty cool that we’re moving on to German 13 next week. Higher level!! 🙂 German 13 on February 13. Cool, right? Or maybe I’m just weird. Hahahaha!

On another note, I’m very happy to share that Frosted Desserts (Facebook, Twitter) will finally open their first shop on 10. February 2013 (Sunday), 9.00AM-9.00PM (soft opening). Drop by for some very yummy cupcakes!! ❀

Very busy month

I was tweeting nonstop when I suddenly realized that I haven’t written anything here in almost a month! I think my last post was from the 12th of January. </3

Well, I was actually so busy because of school. Actually, I still am. Had exams and reports. Still have exams and reports to do. Oh, life. It’s midterms season. 😩

A lot of stuff actually happened the past few weeks. The most unforgettable? I was at the holdup incident at SM Megamall. I won’t share the details here anymore because I don’t want to remember it. It was very scary and words just can’t express the horror of that day. I won’t go back there anymore. Or to malls. Maybe Shangri-la and Newport Mall are exceptions. But enough bad vibes. I wanna forget that day.

Well, I promise I’ll write as soon as I’m no longer busy. Maybe next week, I can write regularly again. ❀

Sehr glĂŒcklich

Sehr glĂŒcklich

Me before going to school. The me when I got home from school, never mind. Hahaha!

I just got home from UP a few minutes ago and I just realized that I’m finally getting used to getting home late (in my standards, late starts at 5PM) on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Maybe it’s because I love my last class. I’m really enjoying. 🙂 ♄
